Day 5 was big, bigger, the biggest. The day started with a sunrise shoot at the beautiful Reschenpass in South Tyrol with eight athletes and a selected group of filmers and photographers at 5:45 am. The rest of the gang arrived around 8:30 am and brought some of the heaviest tricks that were performed so far. At the top of the ladder was Emil Johansson with some never before performed trick combinations.
On the big bike, there was some great riding by Nico Scholze. Paddy Schweika was killing it on the Big Bertha. The quality of these two sessions raises the question of what will still happen tomorrow on the contest day.
The performance of the riders on day 5 definitely redefined the quality of the contest and took it to a next level. Nicholi Rogatkin pulled a 1080, which only upped his stunt in Nuremberg last week. Clemens Kaudela was sending some ridiculously high airs on the quarter pipe. After the two sessions, the boys were allowed to get some rest for the big day tomorrow.
