When the weather gods don’t give you what you asked for, you make the most of it- that’s how Day 2 at the Suzuki Nine Knights MTB at Reschenpass went down. Really strong winds meant that the athletes were not able to hit the course, so instead, they set forth exploring the surrounding South Tyrolian Vinschgau region.
To make the most of the day, the riders split into four groups to work with the photographers and filmers. Sam Reynolds, Olly Wilkins, Reilly Horan, Blake Samson, and Clemens Kaudela were tearing up a super long chute with the gorgeous turquoise Resia Lake in the background.
The second group was all about getting creative on in the woods with Max Frederiksson, Anton Thelander, Nicholi Rogatkin, and Ethan Nell. Meanwhile, Szymon Goziek, Sam Pilgrim, and Adolf Silva were putting on a show for the GoPro filmers with the vast Reschenpass valley as a backdrop.
The final group made up an Italy vs. Germany showdown with Torquato Testo, Diego Caverzasi, Lukas Knopf, Patrick Schweika, and Timo Pritzel.
All in all, it was the perfect day to get the boys stoked for the main features of the killer Suzuki Nine Knights course.
The 4 invited photographers: Martin Erd, JB Liautard, Christoph Laue, Eric Palmer were all shooting to present their shots in the photo competition at the end of the week. Stay tuned for more photos on our FB page and next week we will publish winning photos!
